Introduction

Hello there, thanks for coming to talk with me. This is going to be a rather informal event.

 I’m going to ask you a whole load of questions but I want you to keep in mind that this isn’t a test; I’m asking about your experience with the app and if you get a little confused or can’t figure out the answer that’s a sign they have to change the app. Oh and don’t worry about offending me, I didn’t make the app, I’m just here to facilitate feedback so feel free to tear it apart.

I’m going to ask you a couple general questions and then we’ll move right on to testing.

Context Questions:

  • Do you fly?
    • How often do you fly?
    • What do you usually do once you land?
  • What do you do in your free time?
    • What type of restaurants do you like?
    • Where do you like to go hiking/ how long do you usually go?
  • What do you a app or website to navigate around a town your unfamiliar with?
    • Which apps do you use?
  • Have you visited the AOPA website? If so why?
    • What do you like about the website? what do you dislike?

Introduce the prototype:

Tasks:

  • You’re thinking of visiting the Powell River Airport, but you want a little more information on it
  • You’ve just landed in Nanaimo Find a restaurant to eat at
  • You want to know If there’s a bus near by the Nanaimo airport

Debrief:

  • What did you think of the product? What are somethings you liked and what are somethings you disliked?
  • If you had all had coding knowledge and experience in the world how would you improve this product?
  • How does your experience with this product compare with the app you’re currently using?
